Abstract
Objectives: This report is about a case of a patient who improved in neurologic deficits after poststroke seizure.

Methods: We observed a patient who received treatment in hospital because of stroke sequelae. His symptoms were left hemiparesis and left side spasticity, and acupuncture, herb medication and several rehabilitative therapies were applied.

Results: Stroke is the most common cause of seizures in the elderly, and seizures are among the very general neurologic sequelae of stroke. About 10% of all stroke patients experience seizures, from stroke onset until several years later. The impact of poststroke seizures on stroke outcomes is unclear, with conflicting data from different case series. But there has been no report that late-onset seizure is associated with better outcomes.

Conclusions: The patient of this case was attacked by intracerebral hemorrhage and experienced three times of seizures in 8 months. Since then his neurologic disorders was improved, especially spasticity.
